However, it is a holiday-themed song, "All I want for Christmas is you" is surely the most famous song of Mariah Carey of all times. It is not a secret that the singer earns a heavy check (goes up to £376,000) every year just from royalties for the Christmas track.

The song was recorded and released in 1994 as part of Mariah's "Merry Christmas" album.

Now, the bad news: No matter how much we all love this tune, we won't hear it live at least until after Thanksgiving because Mariah refuses to play it before that.

She was guest on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon over the weekend and explained that, since the song was released in 1994, she spends most of the holiday season singing this song so she is kind of fed up right now. Then, she is adding: "I have this rule where I try to get through Thanksgiving. I don’t like when people rush it because once I start I don’t stop until after New Year."
