Drake (born on 24 October 1986, Toronto) is a Canadian rapper, songwriter, record producer, and actor. Thanks to his dad Dennis Graham, a famous Canadian drummer, Drake had the rhythm in his blood.

His career first started as an actor after he auditioned and got the role for the Canadian high-school drama Degrassi: The Next Generation in 2001. He played the role of a wheelchair-bound former basketball talent Jimmy Brooks. The following year, he earned the Young Artist Award for his exceptional acting skills.

Even though he was a successful actor, Drake didn't lose his passion for music. As a matter of fact, he recorded and released his first rap mixtape, called  Room for Improvement, in 2006.

Shortly after the producer of Degrassi: The Next Generation decided to cut Drake’s role from the show, Lil Wayne called him all of a sudden and asked Drake to accompany him on his upcoming tour. The rest is just a story.

His first studio album, Thank Me Later, came out in 2010 and literally topped the Americans and Canadian charts for less than a day. In the following 2011, Drake dropped his second studio album, called Take Care, which won the Grammy Award for the best hip-hop album of 2011.

In 2012, as his success was growing tremendously, Drake founded a Toronto-based record label, named October’s Very Own (OVO).

He is now having 5 studio albums. The latest one, Scorpion, came out earlier this year.

Up to date, some of his best songs are Headlines, Hotline Bling, One Dance, Take Care, In My Feelings, and Hold On, We're Going Home.

In his personal life, Drake has a long list of popular girlfriends and hookups, however, his long on-and-off saga with Rihanna is the most famous one.

Three odd facts that you probably don't know about Drake: 1) he's a great skater; 2) he's the biggest fan of Harry Potter; 3)he makes his own whiskey 🙂
